The Beauty Bit

Pinson isn't a believer in high-priced department store skincare products. She's been using the same tried-andtrue products for years: Dove Soap and Oil of Olay Moisturizer SPF 15. "I've been using them forever," she says. "When I was younger, I experimented with Lancome and Clinique, but Dove and Oil of Olay are the best products for my skin." Another fabulous beauty esstential that Pinson recommends can be found at the drugstore: Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque. "For three dollars, it's amazing--it dries up blemishes very quickly and really helps tighten up your pores."

Pinson's practical, down-to-earth approach to beauty keeps her looking good without constant visits to the salon. She even does her own nails, shopping at beauty-supply stores for her favorite shades of polishe from OPI, Orly and Essie. "On the show, I sometimes where a glinty gold color from MAC that is really rich-looking, versatile color," she says. Pinson also keeps her makeup bag stocked iwth lip and eye colors from MAC.

But Pinson is mum about who keeps her signature shag cut looking camera-ready. "So many people ask me where I get my hair cut," she laughs. "I stopped telling them. I don't want to see myself coming and going all over the place." She will divulge her favorite scent: Mariella Burani, a romantic fragerence that is sold in select boutiques around the country.

Exercising Her Options

"I watch what I eat," says Pinson. "I'll have fruit in the morning, a huge salad for lunch (thank God I like green, leafy vegetables) and a chicken breast for dinner." The actress admits that being on television has "changed my diet radically. It is almost like they're paying me to stay in shape." To stay fit, Pinson works out with a trainer twice a week, using weights, and runs on the treadmill every other day. "I'm curvy," says the 5-foot-7 actress. "I'll never be one of those skinny types. I have to work at it."
